Signal generators are divided into converters (for alternating voltage signals) and buzzers with their own oscillator (for direct current operation).Here, sound waves are generated in different ways.There are piezoelectric, electrodynamic and electromechanical designs.Some signal generators have an internal resonant circuit and only need an applied DC voltage to generate sound, while the others require external control.
